Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • General Service (GS/X)/Hydro Cadre: BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Pilot/ATC: BE/B.Tech with at least 60% marks; candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in Class X and XII and a minimum of 60% marks in English in Class X or XII.
  • Logistics: BE/B.Tech in any discipline with First Class, or MBA with First Class, or B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc.(IT) with First Class and a PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management, or MCA/M.Sc (IT) with First Class.
  • Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC): BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant engineering disciplines or a Post Graduate degree in Electronics/Physics. Candidates must have 60% aggregate in Class X and XII and a minimum of 60% marks in English in Class X or XII.
  • Education: First Class in M.Sc. (Maths/Operational Research) with Physics in B.Sc., or First Class in M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with Maths in B.Sc., or 55% in MA (History), or BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Engineering Branch (General Service): BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Electrical Branch (General Service): BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in relevant electrical engineering disciplines.

Age Limit

Selection Process

The selection process comprises the following stages:

  2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email or SMS about their selection for the SSB interview, which spans five days and includes:
    • Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test, Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT), Story Narration, and Discussion.
    • Stage II: Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, Personal Interview, and Conference.
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness as per Indian Navy standards.
  4. Final Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies.

Training and Tenure

Selected candidates will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, commencing in June 2025. Upon successful completion, they will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenants.
