Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Home Guard Vacancy 2025

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: Completion of 10+2 (Intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or institution.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 19 years

• Maximum Age: 40 years

• Age Calculation Date: January 1, 2025

Age relaxations are applicable as per Bihar government regulations.

Physical Standards and Efficiency Test

Candidates must meet specific physical standards and will undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as part of the selection process.

Physical Standards

• Height:

  • Male Candidates: Minimum 162.56 cm

    • For candidates from Purnia and Kosi divisions: Minimum 157.5 cm

  • Female Candidates: Minimum 153 cm

• Chest (for Male Candidates):

  • General: 79 cm (unexpanded)

  • Purnia and Kosi divisions: 76 cm (unexpanded)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET comprises the following activities:

• Running:

  • Male Candidates: 1.6 km in 6 minutes

  • Female Candidates: 800 meters in 5 minutes

• High Jump:

  • Male Candidates: Minimum 4 feet

  • Female Candidates: Minimum 3 feet

• Long Jump:

  • Male Candidates: Minimum 12 feet

  • Female Candidates: Minimum 9 feet

• Shot Put (Gola Fek):

  • Male Candidates: 16-pound shot, minimum 16 feet throw

  • Female Candidates: 12-pound shot, minimum 10 feet throw
