Application Fee Structure
The application fee varies based on the candidate’s category and the number of subjects selected:
General (Unreserved):
- Up to three subjects: ₹1,000
- Each additional subject: ₹400 per subject
OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer):
- Up to three subjects: ₹900
- Each additional subject: ₹375 per subject
SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender:
- Up to three subjects: ₹800
- Each additional subject: ₹350 per subject
Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 (Class 12) or equivalent examination from a recognized board in India.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in CUET UG 2025. However, candidates must meet the age criteria (if any) of the universities to which they are applying.
Exam Pattern and Structure
CUET UG 2025 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination structure is as follows:
Medium of Examination: The test will be available in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Number of Subjects: Candidates can select up to five subjects. The total number of subjects has been reduced to 37 from the previous 63.
Duration and Format: Each subject paper will have a uniform duration of 60 minutes. All questions are compulsory, as the provision for optional questions has been removed.
Subject Selection Flexibility: Candidates can choose subjects irrespective of their stream in Class 12. This allows for greater flexibility in aligning the test with their desired undergraduate programs.
